Support for Children and Young People
Helping your child feel understood and supported with guidance from autistic and neurodivergent professionals who truly get it.
At Autistic Knowledge Development, we support autistic and neurodivergent children and young people with what matters most, whether that is struggles at school, anxiety, friendships, or understanding themselves.
Our services are led by experienced, openly autistic and neurodivergent professionals and shaped by real-life experience. We work with families to build practical strategies that help children feel understood, supported, and more confident in daily life.

Aim High: Mentoring for Autistic and Neurodivergent Young People
Autistic Knowledge Development created Aim High, a supportive and discreet mentoring programme for neurodivergent young people, led by neurodivergent professionals and peers who truly get it.
In a non-judgemental and confidential space, we help young people build confidence, set goals, and navigate life’s challenges – at their own pace and in their own way.
What is Aim High Mentoring?
Aim High is a one-to-one mentoring programme designed specifically for autistic young people.
Sessions are led by trained autistic mentors who use their lived experience and professional knowledge to offer personalised guidance, encouragement, and support.
It is a safe space where young people can talk openly, explore what matters to them, and work towards their goals, whether that’s managing daily life, planning for the future, or developing self-belief.
Who is it for?
Aim High is for autistic children and young people (usually aged 15 to 25) who would benefit from identity-affirming support.
Some may be exploring their autistic identity, while others might want help with things like managing change, building self-confidence, or planning for life after school.
We welcome both formally diagnosed and self-identified autistic young people.
How much does it cost?
Each one-hour mentoring session costs £75.
Sessions can be self-funded or paid for through Self-Directed Support (SDS).
If you are not sure how SDS works, we are happy to signpost you to more information or help you explore your options.
Where and how do sessions take place?
All sessions take place online via Zoom.
Young people can take part in the way that feels most comfortable to them – cameras on or off, speaking out loud, using the chat box, or a mix. We adapt to each person’s preferences and needs.
Most people choose fortnightly sessions over six months, but the pace and structure are flexible and personalised.
What makes Aim High different?
This programme is led by autistic people who have walked a similar path. We offer a kind, relatable, and affirming space – not a clinical or “fix-it” approach.
We believe autistic young people deserve support that reflects their reality, honours their identity, and helps them grow into themselves – not away from it.
